Presentation: Physical Education Dance Class in the Metaverse: System Development

Takashi Fukushima is a specially appointed assistant professor at Tokyo Gakugei University. He holds a master’s degree in sports and exercise science from the Technical University of Munich.
He researches the effectiveness of VR, AR, and Metaverse applications in education, especially in physical education. Involving many projects related to the area, his main work is to develop the applications as he was working as a software engineer in the past. At the same time, he is a PhD student at Technical University of Munich. He researches athletic performance analysis using pose estimation. His aim is to develop cost-effective and educationally / practically helpful AR,VR, and Metaverse applications for students and athletes.
